Sony A9

So..... I’ve taken the step across to mirrorless, hanging up my Canon camera’s for the time being and heading over to Sony to see what the A9 has to offer,

and after a month of covering various shoots including office interiors, pub interiors, business portraits, business profile stories, garden centres, restoration of old buildings, bakeries, newspaper case studies...

the Sony A9 has impressed me, I’m only using prime lenses and the sharpness/colour range is outstanding and the camera is so light I sometimes forget I’ve got it on my shoulder. Also being able to shoot silent has its benefits too.... although not when you accidentally shoot a hundred or so frames of the floor as walk back to the car after forgetting to switch the camera off... It really is silent!

The World is starting to open up again so I’m looking forward to using the Sony on forthcoming assignments...

but for now, I’m taking a few days off as the border between Scotland and England has opened up and it’s time to visit family in North West Englandshire for a few days, it’s been a long thirteen months of various lockdowns and restricted travel, time to reconnect.
